A Good Start

Monday proved to be a good start of the 2009 season.  We managed to get through the day with only one very short downpour of rain-in late afternoon.  In between opening at 8:00 A.M. and then, however, the sun came out and berries were picked.  Both friends from years past as well as some new faces started out the picking season.

In our barn this year, we have a new selection of “Steep Hill Farm” tee-shirts, which are of various colors.  We hope you’ll find them as appealing as we do.  Liberty Graphics used our design and their organic ink to produce a great piece of apparel to remind you of summer picking in Maine. There are both unisex and women’s styles, as well as youth shirts.

We also have Maine maple syrup that was jointly collected and processed by Steep Hill Farm and Stevenson’s Strawberries.  Think blueberry pancakes with real Maple syrup…..

Tomorrow has a weather forecast of sunny!!!!  Remember how short summer is in Maine-don’t lose your window of opportunity to get great blueberries and have a great experience!
