Sunday, Second of August

Our first Sunday opening of the 2009 season- and it is also George’s 60th birthday, would you believe!!  Tell him Happy Birthday if you come to the patch!

We added a visitor from India to our list of worldly blueberry pickers today-how exciting.  And we also had a full day of picking without a downpour!  More great families and returning friends…

Unfortunately we cannot allow your doggie friends into the patch.  It is a matter of sanitary conditions-not that we are not dog lovers.   Sorry!

We have been blessed this weekend with our youngest daughter helping us out with the blueberry business.  She really enjoys all the diverse picker population and the beauty of sunny days on the farm….

One of the fun things that happens as we have pickers come to our farm is that people from our past show up and we relive memories of our own lives. I remembered growing up in Wayne, Maine today when an old acquaintance showed up that used to go to the Androscoggin Yacht Club to the youth square dances on Friday nights with me.  Oh, those were the days!!

Let’s enjoy each day of our lives..

Brenda
