We have many different people who come to pick blueberries. Some of our favorite pickers are our veterans who have picked many blueberries in their lifetime. You have to admire a person that uses a walker to get to the field so they can pick some blueberries. Some use canes, some ask to drive into the field next to the patch. They take pride in still being able to pick their own blueberries. And they should.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, we also get to witness very young pickers on their first trip to the blueberry patch. Three week old babies come to sleep away in strollers while their parents pick berries next to them. Toddlers run into the patch, and whine to be carried out. Preschoolers strive to pick the “biggest” berry to put in their basket.
Old, young and all ages in between like to pick berries. We hope you will too.
