Friday, August 21, Picking Update

There were two of the cutest children that came to pick blueberries with their mother on Thursday, a little boy who was five and a little girl who was three. They had on tye-dyed tee shirts that they had helped dye, according to the verbal five year old, which were very colorful. The little girl had hers tied in a knot in back so that it fit her better, because, according to her mother, she wanted to wear it to be like her brother. They each took a turn sitting on the tractor George has parked next to the barn for just such parentally supervised experiences. Their Mom was obviously enjoying the afternoon excursion with her children at our farm. And the children were happy and healthy and learning. Isn’t that the way it should be for all children?

We will be open Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. (as long as it doesn’t rain).

Get your blueberries for the weekend!  The picking is still pretty tremendous!
