Okay, so yesterday I talked about the bounty in Maine and mentioned sweet corn and green beans, among other things. I guess I misled people because they came to the farm salivating for blueberries, corn and beans! Sorry, we only have blueberries to go with the corn and beans!! Didn’t mean to mess you guys up!
BUT, do we have blueberries: ripe, juicy, sweet, luscious blueberries. Come get yours. We’ll be open 8 A.M to 7 P.M on Friday .

PS Send us an email to george@maineblueberryfarm.com and we will put you on our notice list when we open next year.

Yesterday was one of those five summer days each year in Maine that is absolutely perfect weather: breezy, warm but not too warm, sunny and fresh. It was a great day to be in a blueberry field, picking berries.
Warm weather makes blueberries sweet. There are lots left to pick. Come get yours.
We will be open from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday, with excellent picking.

This weekend was a great weekend for picking blueberries. So many beautiful families and friends came to our farm: old folks; babies; teens; young adults; and middle aged adults. I know for a fact we had a 2 1/2 week old baby and a man of 90 years old in the field. You can’t beat that! Berry picking is one of the few activities that accommodates just about anyone.
Even after a great weekend, the blueberry patch has an unbelievable bounty of berries. If there ever were a banner year for blueberries on our farm, this is it. Just about everyone that comes into the barn after picking is in awe of the amount of berries in the 2 acre field. It is quite fulfilling to know you have helped nurture a crop that so many people appreciate.
Don’t let this bounty get by you! Hope to see you in the Patch! We will be open Monday from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M.

Hopefully, Sunday is a day of rest for most of you and that you get a chance to relax. It is very relaxing to be in the blueberry field picking berries so hopefully you might come out to our farm.
With such a short picking season, and the berries continuing to ripen day and night, the crop needs to be picked. We will be open Sunday from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M. The picking is excellent with several varieties of berries to pick.
Take an old time Sunday drive to the country. Join us at our and farm for a nice day of picking .

What a day we had yesterday! In case you didn’t see the Kennebec Journal, our farm was written up and pictures of us were on the front page. A great picture of one of our pickers was included. It’s amazing what a little publicity will do for business! We had a good crowd come out and participate in the experience of picking blueberries from the field. The field was just a’buzzin’… Check out the article by googling kjonline and go to July 22 edition.
Don’t worry, there are lots of berries still waiting for you. They have your name on them so hurry on out to Fayette and get them. You might even get your picture on the front page of the newspaper!
We will be open from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M on Friday and hope the enthusiasm for picking and eating blueberries continues. It is a banner year for blueberries so far, so don’t miss out.
