Tuesday looks like another “bluebird” day-sunny, low humidity and in the high 70 degree range! This is the week to pick blueberries if you have not filled your freezer, because we are at the height of our season and the picking is the best it will be right now. Don’t wait until you say, “I […]

We started yesterday off with a photo shoot going on at Steep Hill Farm!  A cute young couple came with their photographer, who had recently picked berries at our farm, to have pictures taken for their engagement photos in a “country setting”. How nice to have them choose our farm! There are many pictures taken […]

Another beautiful day on the Hill! This is the time in the season when George and I can’t believe the field has so many blueberries in it still.  We have picked for almost three weeks and yet the field is still blue! Where do they come from? The field needs you to pick!  Don’t let […]

Monday, July 30, 2012

It has been a bit of a wet weekend up here on Steep Hill Farm. We closed around 4:00 P.M. both Saturday and Sunday because of rain and it was moist most of Sunday while picking.  But blueberry pickers are resilient and a lot of blueberries still left the field. Monday and Tuesday look like […]

July 29 Update 4:40 P.M.

We are shutting down after a day of off-again-on-again showers and rain. The field is saturated and picking now just does damage to the bushes and is not a good experience! Hopefully you got your berries early! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day weather-wise!
