Friday August 10, 2012

This week has been a very busy week here at the farm.  With the warmer than usual weather the ripening of the berry crop is a bit out of sync.  We  have been picking all four varieties of berries that we grow, all at the same time,  which is a bit unusual.  This, along with a growing population of new Steep Hill Farm pickers, means our field of berries  needs a couple of extra days to  ripen before  our next  picking.

To make a long  story short, we will be  closed for a few days to let the  berries ripen so that the picking will be easier and more enjoyable for all.

We will be  closed starting Friday, August 10th and reopen  Tuesday morning August 14, at 8:00 AM and pick to  7:00 PM.  We hope to see you then.
