Another day of picking will take place at Steep Hill Farm on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. (thunder shower free we hope!). Blueberries are in abundance. Now is a great time to come pick for the freezer, because you can pick a quart in about ten minutes. The clusters are ripe and fall into your pail!
Raspberries are about done, although hardy souls may find a quart or two.
We have had many families come to pick at our farm, as we do every year. A very wise teacher said in the barn today he thought every child should have the experience of picking their own berries at some time in their youth. I agree with him. It is an experience not to be missed, for young and old alike.
Hope to see you in the patch,
Brenda and George
